- Launched Radicle Innovation, a for-profit Life Science and Healthcare innovation consultancy, with multiple, successful engagements in academia and industry.
- Launched and matured RedSky, a Healthcare oriented concept to commercialization company.
- Successfully transitioned Blue Highway from a wholly owned subsidiary of Welch Allyn to a wholly owned subsidiary of Syracuse University.
- Created an innovation incubator, which successfully filled Welch Allyn's pipeline with differentiating products.
- Developed a high-performing R&D organization within Welch Allyn to deliver incremental and new products. Key player in increasing sales from $350M to $800M annually.
In recent years, recognized as the Future of Health Technology Awardee for pioneering work in promoting entrepreneurship in medical and scientific fields; twice as the Medical MindXchange Most Valuable Thought Leader by Frost & Sullivan as well as the Frost & Sullivan Catalyst Awardee, which was the first ever given for "being a game changer and visionary in multiple disciplines and industries,” as the Technologist of the Year by the Technology Alliance of Central New York, and as a Digital Animal Summit Leader Circle Hall of Fame inductee.
Served for 3 years on the inaugural National Biodefense Science Board; presented to the Senate Manufacturing Caucus on innovation; participated in a U.S./Northern Ireland economic summit upon request of the Secretary of State; and advised the NYS Economic Task Force on matters of academic and industry collaboration, and was a former Professor of Forensic Science at the Forensic & National Security Sciences Institute at Syracuse University.
